what is a support worker?
As people's lives change through age, accident or illness, they may need help to be able to live in their own homes. And that's where we come into it. Homecare is the back bone of community care.
How do we help?
We visit them in their own homes. This can be by bicycle, moped or car. Our service users locations are arranged in close proximity so these are usually visited by our Support Workers who use bicycles or mopeds. We pay all of our Support Workers their hourly wage for travelling plus 50p per mile. We aim to keep you working as close to home as we can. This also reduces travel time and our carbon footprint!
Some of our service users need more help than others. Some require help with making food and drinks, having their medication given to them, maybe feeding their cat or help with their laundry. Others need help with transferring from one room to another if they are bedbound, personal care of which includes showering and toileting or just having help to wash their hair and get them ready for the day.
The most important asset a Support Worker can have is a good heart. We provide training for everything else and you get paid to train too! Wages are paid weekly.
This is such an important role to our community because in most cases, you are the only person they will see that day.

We have varied shifts available between the hours of 7am-10pm, 7 days a week. Days, evenings and weekends.
